~A sampling of my heavenly bliss~

After a brutal storm last night we woke up to a beautiful peek into the atmosphere. Still dark and dreery but the pink was refreshing.
This coyote is real. We saw him as we were driving down the road. He was closer than this but he moved further out in the field by the time we stopped and turned around. He did stop and look at us looking at him though! Thanks Sir Coyote! I saw him rear his head back and howl as he stood there too!! What a treat.
Go Georgia. You need some muscles on those bones. She's got the moves!!
In the first clip the "extra" kid is a girl I am tutoring.
Also, in the second clip, yes, I stopped the catastrophe before it happened!! (jo smacking Emmy)
I had been thinking about a craft to celebrate Our Lady of Lourdes and came up with this. I took a milk jug and cut an oval into it. Then sent the kids to the driveway for small stones!
I found a pretty picture of Mary and Bernadette (see below) and taped The Blessed Mother inside the jug. VERY CAREFULLY I put hot glue so the kids could press a stone into it.
Here it is. I wish we had enough to go around a little more but the bigger stones weren't sticking very well. Now I know little flat ones work the best!
Here is Quatchi, another mascot of the Vancouver Olympics. "Quatchi is a young sasquatch who comes from the mysterious forests of Canada. Quatchi is shy, but loves to explore new places and meet new friends." He loves hockey and dreams of being a goalie.
We had the opportunity to have a nice lunch with our relatives from the south yesterday. Making Valentine's was on our list of things to do before I decided that we would trek to the half-way-point for lunch but we quickly made some for the cousins.
Emmy was VERY proud to make Kimberly's valentine.
We made a Miga! She is the snowboard loving mascot of the 2010 Olympics.
We took part in putting "welcome home" bags together at our local Legion this past weekend. Because the soldiers cannot carry some things on the plane when they return home, the Legion has taken it into their own hands to make sure they have some basic hygiene products when they return.
It was an experience to make sure our 100 bags had ONE OF EACH THING in it especially since the items were pre-counted on the table. Pressure was on. Needless to say - we didn't end up with exactly the right amount and had to go back through our 100 bags to count each item so as to make sure they had ONE OF EACH ITEM. That ONE OF EACH ITEM was the theme of the head honchos down there. Oh yeah "one of each item" AND "make sure you get the air out of the bags before you put them in the box"!! Right Georgia?! :)
