Twelve Days of Christmas lap-book

Over this vacation the girls and I have been diligently working on a Twelve Days of Christmas Lap-book.
It has been a wonderful learning experience for the girls.
We learned the origins of the song and the hidden meaning behind the verses.

Two turtle doves = Old and New Testaments

Three French hens = Three gifts brought to baby Jesus
Four calling birds = Four gospels
Five golden rings = The Torah the first five books of the Old Testament
Six geese a-laying = Six days of creation
Seven swans a-swimming = Seven gifts of the Holy Spirit

Eight maids a-milking = Eight beatitudes
Nine ladies dancing = Nine fruits of the spirit

Ten lords a-leaping = Ten Commandments
Eleven pipers piping = Eleven Faithful Apostles

and
Twelve drummers drumming = Twelve points of the Apostles Creed
