Isn't she a darling? Notice the double chin. We went to the docs Tuesday. We found out she has gained 3 and a half pounds!! Little porker.
There were a couple other discoveries at the doctors office. Her doctor revealed the results of some tests he ordered. Our suspicions were correct- (in his terms) "Her synapses are extremely over active, which can mean one of two things. Either she is going to be one smart cookie, or one hard headed teen." We said we would definitely prefer the former so he said he would tweak that a bit for us. Also he confirmed what we all knew to begin with. He showed us some charts from a DNA test and the results are in. She most certainly DOES possess the rare EXTRA CUTE GENE. Yippeee!
Uh Brad please don't get stuck half way! We enjoyed a sun-filled day at the "other" playground nearby recently.
Spin jo spin.
Emeline liked hopping across this obstacle with dad's help.
I really wanted to climb around but you never know who might see.
This was a scary slide to little eyes.
Emmy really wished she was big so that she could climb around on this. I bet Jo is pretending to be spiderman.
A modern-day see-saw.
Spin him faster girls. faster faster!
Peek!
Mountain climber Georgia. We should find a place nearby that has these sort of walls to climb. It would be fun.
Is Emmy the spotter?
Now miss independent needs to try. We rode the horses last night and when it was her turn Daddy held her leg. She didn't like that at all and insisted that she could do it herself!
Another peek!
Hold on Josie. Ouch it looks like you are uncomfortable.
Neat swing isn't it? Extra comfy for little (but especially bigger) behinds.
After the playground we ate our lunch at the river. This is as close as they wanted to get. We need Uncle Ben and Uncle Russell to take the girls fishing some time.
THEN, to top the day off Mom and Dad played tennis while the girls rode their bikes. This is SUPER fun for them because our drive way is very difficult to ride in. Looks like they are out growing their bikes. It is always something.
Notice no Margie in these pictures. She was an angel and slept the whole time! Thanks Margie Sue!
We learned about the anatomy of a tree for arbor day. It actually interested the girls. We LOVE trees. Unfortunately (as you can see) we are looking at a stump in these pictures. Behind and in front of our rock wall were a bunch of Elm trees that we beautiful. Slowly but surely we keep losing them to Dutch Elm disease. Now they are making a variety that is resistant to the disease. I should get some because they really are a nice tree. I have some flowering trees ordered and I can't wait for them to arrive so we can have a planting party!
We have had this mobile hanging above our changing area for all 4 of the kids. All of the kids have enjoyed watching the bears go round and round while they get changed. Margie has impressed me. She has been following the bears around and talking to them for a couple of weeks now. Maybe she is a genius grandma!!!
Stacy made these cute shirts for the girls. Can you read them? We recently wore them on an outing. I think the girls felt very proud!! Thanks Stacy. Little Margie and her frog legs :)
There is Daddy and the start of his all girls team.
I know I'm a little late posting things lately. These are some pictures from Easter Sunday. We celebrated Paul's birthday which was the 11th. We wish you a happy year Paul!! The three amigos (once again - this seems to be a popular shot when we get together).
The hosts hard at work cleaning up after a great dinner. What's wrong with us Stacy and Jessie!! :) Oh yeah we have a bunch of babies.
The annual easter egg hunt. Go Jo go!
Emeline found one and looks to be very proud.
Georgia is on a mission!
Thanks for the great day Mom, Rick, Ben and Russell.
