Fall leaf art.

Neat idea.  Can't remember where I found it but it is simply black cardstock, leaves dipped in white paint and red/orange/yellow tempera paint sponged on.

gymnastics 2013

Gymnastics has been done for a couple weeks now and this is still a common sight in the front yard!

After their recital.  They were given  a ribbon and Emeline was sure they "won".  She told me the other day she is never going to stop gymnastics until she makes it to the Olympics!

crochet baby sets

In all of my spare time I have crocheted some really cute baby sets.  The boots are to die for!

I'm going to have to find the patterns and post them later because I'm having trouble finding them at this second!

Ascension of the Lord craft

You can't see it very well but we made a really nice Ascension of the Lord craft.  It is a cotton covered cardboard cloud strung up with yarn and a picture I printed from online.

Emeline lost a tooth

Emeline lost her first tooth last week.  What a traumatic experience that was!  It had been really hanging for a couple of days and dad said (in the Subway parking lot) let me see how wiggly your tooth is.  He barely touched it and it was out.  Boy was she mad at daddy.  She wouldn't open her mouth and talk or anything fearing that she "looked rediculous"!  Now whenever someone asks her when she lost it she replies "the day we went to Subway".  Something she will never forget.

Best Buds

Our Apollo.  He has been a great pup!

Margie and Apollo continue to be best buds.  The wrestling matches are about 50/50 now.  Margie can still give him a run for his money.  That's going to change soon!

Whew this ended up being a lot bigger of a project than I imagined.  Now the trick will be to try to keep Margie from eating the glued on Cheerios!

Here is our trap.  Emeline is VERY upset about this leprechaun thing.  She has been watching her back and clinging to mine!

Well I have always hoped a leprechaun would come to play some pranks on us and finally one decided to pay us a visit.  Yesterday he turned our milk green!  You know what that means....a leprechaun trap is due to be made!

Puffy snowmen

Well we have been on a short expedition to the Arctic/Antarctica to learn about polar animals and one of the first things we did when we got there was to build a snowman!  I mixed equal parts shaving cream and glue.

The girls dobbed the mixture onto paper to make a puffy snowman.
