I have been teaching the kids that there are many things found in stores that we may need BUT can make at home. One of the things is laundry detergent. I found a recipe for homemade laundry detergent which called for Borax and when I came across the Borax Snowflake idea I knew right away it would be a must-do. They came out beautiful and the kids loved the transformation.
A low cost, green eco friendly, healthy natural way to do laundry is to put 3 or 4 soapberries in the wash. They grow on the Chinaberry tree and have been used for thousands of years. They work very effectively.
